Lanzarote is located just seventy miles off the coast of West Africa. On the same line of latitude as parts of Mexico and Florida. Creating a great year round climate with everage year round temperatures of 21 celsius.

The island was subjected to one of the worlds longest ever volcanic eruptions, lasting six years from 1730. Which submerged around one quarter of theisland beneath a sea of lava. Today, the Timanfaya Volcano Park is Lanzarote´s msot popular tourist attraction. And is often likened to the surface of the moon.
